The newbuild will receive yard number 75 and will be a sister ship to yard number 71, Ro Spirit, which was delivered in October 2023.
The vessel is number 13 in a series of ships designed by Skipskompetanse AS and will have a cargo capacity of 2,800 m³. It will be arranged for both open and closed transport of fish and smolt. The boat will be fully equipped with modern solutions for fish welfare, and it will have zero emissions during closed transport, featuring monitoring, water‑circulation purification, UV treatment of water entering and leaving the cargo tanks, an automatic washing and disinfection system, as well as monitoring, regulation, and logging of water parameters.
The vessel will be equipped with TIER III machinery, PHT functionality, and Wavefoil technology to save fuel and reduce emissions. The gross tonnage will be 2,999.
The hull is scheduled for delivery in September 2026, and the completed vessel will be handed over to the shipowner in April 2027.
With this project, Rostein is approaching approximately 5.5 billion NOK in newbuilds at Larsnes Mek, underscoring how important the aquaculture industry has become for the maritime sector.
